DEVO. 08.31.23 “For we live by faith, not by sight.” (‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

- How are you living your life? - Are you living by what you can see or by what is unseen? - Are you trusting in yourself or trusting in God? - There are two ways to live and Jesus is calling you to live by believing in Him and not by what you can see. - Let me encourage you to live your life in a manner consistent with your confident belief in God and all of His promises! - Every day, including today, is a day to surrender to His will and His way. - Some of you are completely tired and worn out from trying to succeed the worlds way. - You are trying to work hard and get ahead but it’s empty. - And all of that emptiness has drained you. - Instead, live for Him! - Take that leap of faith and surrender everything to Him. - There will be a day where we will all stand before the Lord - 2 Corinthians 5:10 says, “...we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.” - Don’t you want to stand before Him having served Him and not yourself - Don’t you want to stand for something real? - God created you for eternity and He wants a relationship with you both now but also forever. - Forever means that we have been blessed with the promise of heaven through faith in Jesus Christ. - It is by his blood that we have been washed clean and accepted by God. - And the Holy Spirit is calling you today! - He wants to remind you of all God has done for you and all that God wants to be in your life. - Look to him and experience his salvation. - Don’t worry about what people think about you...No, live your life for Him. - Live your life for the audience of One! - Experience all that He has in store for you today! - Have a great Thursday!
