DEVO. 08.30.23

“If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- The Apostle Paul is saying that there is something that is keeping people from seeing the glorious, amazing light of the gospel of Jesus.

- Verse 4 says, “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.”

- He says that they are unable to see.

- He says “They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”

- ‭‭So, if someone is driving a car towards a cliff, and they are blind, what would you do?

- I hope you would shout and say, “stop driving the car this way! You will die”

- Stop the car and show them the right way!

- If not, then you are just laughing as they drive off a cliff and perish!

- God needs you!

- He needs you to pray that the veil that has blinded them is lifted!

- Pray that they would see!

- But open your mouth and lead them away from the cliff!

- Show them the right Way, it’s called the “The Way, The Truth, The Life”; His name is Jesus.

- Romans 10:14 says, “How can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

- ‭‭So today, tell your feet that they are going to be beautiful!

- Go and tell! Tell them the safe way!

- Go and show! Show them the path that leads to life.

- Go and lead!

- Lead them to safety and Life!
