DEVO. 08.26.24
“Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.”
John 14:1 AMP
- As a church, we have started 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, so for the next 21 Days, this will be the focus of my devotional.
- I want to encourage everyone who reads this to join in with us with some form of prayer & fasting.
- Whether it’s a technology fast, partial fast, Daniel fast or full fast, we all need to clean out the toxins in our life, and bring restoration to our souls.
- Jesus said, “DO NOT let your heart be troubled.”
- If you have let trouble and worries into your heart then it needs to be cleaned out.
- Troubles happen when we allow a problem to become bigger than our God.
- We can believe more in a problems power than we believe in the power of the Holy Spirit.
- For example, when we look at a bad doctors report and then focus on and talk about, the sickness, illness or disease, we are giving it power over us.
- Instead we need to feed our body, soul and spirit the word of God and His power to heal, restore and deliver us from any problem.
- It doesn’t mean that you ignore a diagnosis but it does mean that you feed your body Faith!
- Faith that says, “I am already healed in Jesus’ name because the Healer lives in me!”
- I may feel depressed at the moment but I will not stay that way because Hope lives in me!
- Depression comes, when I am hopeless, but Romans 8:11 says, “The Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you.”
- Resurrection power brings hope!
- So instead of living hopeless, you can now live hopeful!
- It’s all a matter of what you are full of!
- You can either live full of fear or full of faith!
- The choice is yours.
- You cannot be full of both.
- Here is my prayer for you, today:
- “Lord, I pray that every one of your children, who has allowed themselves to be troubled, that they turn trouble into trust! And as they trust in you and your name, that their faith would grow greater than their fear! Today, Lord, we trust in
