DEVO 07.20.23

DEVO. 07.20.23

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭AMP‬‬

- There is power to your prayer. - If you pray, it matters and if you don’t pray, it matters. - When Moses prayed the waters of the Red Sea parted and the children of Israel walked across on dry land! - When Noah prayed, it rained, but his family was safe in the Ark. - When Elijah prayed, God sent down fire from heaven, and consumed the altar, he defeated 850 false prophets and saw the nation return to God! - When Daniel prayed, the mouths of the lions stayed shut, he was not eaten, everyone saw that God had spared Him, and the kings heart was changed! - When Jonah prayed God preserved him in the belly of a whale. - When Joshua prayed, the sun stood still! - When the disciples prayed, the day of pentecost turned into a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and the birth of the New Testament Church. - These are just a few examples of praying. What is yours? - Put your name in here = “When Don prayed, this is what happened!” - Every believer must be a praying believer! It’s how God works! - It’s how God saves! - It’s how God delivers! - It’s how he reveals himself through ordinary people! - What is the thing that you have complained about or talked about but you have not prayed about it? - Today, pray about it! - The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power].” - Have a great Thursday!
