DEVO. 07.17.24
“For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” (Romans 4:3 NLT)
- How important is your Faith?
- Scripture says, “”Abraham believed God and God counted Him as righteous because of His Faith”
- Think about this verse.
- You can do all the good works that you want.
- You can serve in all the right places
- You can help rescue kittens and save puppies
- You can minister to the homeless and the destitute.
- But don’t think that, that is going to make you righteous.
- It can’t
- Isaiah 64:6 says, “When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags.“
- Righteousness does not come from hard work or anything you do.
- Righteousness comes from what Jesus has done and your belief in Him.
- Romans 3:22 says, “We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.”
- Don’t do more, be more!
- By that, I mean, Believe in what Jesus has done and “be” who He says you are!
- Just as Abraham trusted and relied on God and was saved, you need to “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved…” (Acts 16:31)
- Jesus did the work and when you believe, in faith, you receive the benefits of what He has done.
- You are in Right Standing with God!
- Today, “Believe” and because of who you are let your actions follow!
- You are not working for something, you are working because you are someone!
- Have a great Wednesday!
