“And I have indeed heard you, says the Lord. So I will not send the promised disaster until after you have died and been buried in peace.” ‭‭(2 Kings‬ ‭22‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- What does it take to get Gods attention and change His mind? - God had said, “that this land (Judah) would be cursed and become desolate.” - That was God’s plan and the nation was on a fast track to accomplish that plan! - But Hilkiah the high priest had, “found the Book of the Law in the Lord’s Temple!” (The Word of God) - He brought The Word of the Lord to King Josiah. - When king Josiah heard the Word of God, “He tore His clothes in despair and wept before me in repentance” (22:19) - Josiah then read the entire Word of God that had been found. - He renewed His covenant in the Lord’s presence and Obeyed the Lord by keeping all His commands and laws with all of His heart and soul. - Then all of the people pledged them selves to the covenant. - Josiah’s response and obedience to the Word of God is what saved the people of His day! - That is what grabbed Gods attention and caused Him to change His mind. - How about you? - Are there areas of your life where you are not fully obeying the Lord? - Are there things that you need to repent of? - Are there little sins that you have allowed to creep in, that no one knows about, but God knows. - Examine your heart and your life and your direction, today. - Repent, Renew and Obey the Lord! - The pattern is the same today. - Make a fresh commitment to Him and walk in His ways. That’s called obedience. - Today is a day that you can grab the Lord’s attention! - Have a great Weekend!
