“His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”” ‭‭(John‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- Jesus was as guest at a wedding, and the worst thing happened. They ran out of wine!

- Wine was a symbol of joy.

- To be out of wine meant that you had lost your joy.

- This was no way to establish a marriage.

- They would be known as the couple that had no joy in their marriage.

- You would think that Jesus would miraculously fill the empty wine bottles with wine

- But that is not what he did.

- John 2:6 says, “Standing nearby were six stone water jars, used for Jewish ceremonial washing.”

- These water jars would be used to wash their hands before entering the temple.

- People would be washing their physical body without taking care of their soul.

- This is a symbol of dead religious works.

- Jesus “mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.””

- Jesus takes these vessels of dead religious works and fills them with joy!

- He creates new wine in empty vessels!

- The question is, are there any places in your life where you have lost your joy?

- Is it a relationship? Your health? Your finances, or something else?

- Did you expect Jesus to do something and He chose not to do it your way or in your timing?

- Have you lost your joy?

- Take some advice from Jesus mother and, “Do whatever Jesus tells you to do.”

- Not what everyone else tells you to do and not what the popular opinion is.

- Get alone with Jesus and wait on Him.

- Listen to His Spirit and do whatever He tells you to do!

- He is the true joy giver!

- There is no person who can give you the joy that He can.

- There is no religious activity that can replace your joy.

- True joy is found in the Giver of Joy, and His name is Jesus!

- Today, wait on Him and ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and restore your Joy. It’s a fruit of His Spirit.

- Receive Joy from Him that you cannot fine anywhere else!
