DEVO. 06.28.24
“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.” (Psalms 23:1 NLT)
- When was the last time that you said, “I have all that I need”?
- Most of the time we are trying to do more and get more so that we can “be more” and ultimately feel fulfilled
- But the Psalmist realized that He was already fulfilled in the Lord.
- He says, The Lord is “my shepherd”.
- He’s not just any shepherd, He is “My Shepherd.”
- Being able to call Him, “My Shepherd” changes everything!
- A shepherd protects, provides, guides, shields, comforts, feeds and leads His sheep!
- Whatever your need is, He is able to meet that need.
- Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. He wants you to bring the need to Him because He can meet the need.
- In Ezekiel 34:12, the Lord says, “I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day.”
- He is yours and you are His! It’s a loving relationship.
- To have all that you need means that you are not going to lack anything you need in order to fulfill God’s will for your life.
- It also means that you can be content with His provision and care.
- Even when you are going through struggles and difficulties, you know that you can trust Him and rely on Him.
- He is committed to you!
- One of the things that made an impact on me when I was in the churches in Kenya, was that the people had seemingly “nothing financially” but yet, they had everything spiritually!
- They had all that they needed!
- Today, don’t try to get more! Realize that He is More!
- When God is with you, He is what you need and He has what you need.
- His presence can met every need I. Your life!
- Abide in Him and let Him abide in you!
- Have a great weekend!
