DEVO. 05.31.24
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3 NKJV)
- Do you have “Perfect Peace”?
- This scripture gives us a very clear exchange.
- If you keep your mind fixed on the Lord and trust completely on Jesus, He will give you perfect peace, as you trust in Him.
- Just as John 15:5 says, “Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”
- Always living from the source of the vine is our key.
- Learn to keep your mind focused on Jesus and consumed with Him and the character that He is trying to shape in you, then I believe that you can have complete peace.
- One of the biggest things I learned when I was on this mission trip was that “Gods got my back!”
- I can literally trust in Him to guide me, protect me and provide for me, even in the places where I mess up.
- When I left my luggage in the back of the cab, God tugged on a man named Henry to find me and bring it back to me.
- When I left my iPhone on a counter in a busy airport, I had an airport worker chase me down, in another corridor, because he remembered my face.
- When I left my neck pillow in an airport terminal seating area, I met “Waru”, who found me on my plane because she noticed the flip flops that I was wearing.
- I don’t believe that any of these encounters were accidents.
- From that encounter, I learned Waru’s story and I was able to share about our mission.
- I just need to be about the business that my Father wants me to do and then He sends the backup.
- Every day of the week, I was focused on the teachings and ministering to the people of Kenya and I did it with all of my heart and believe that God was pleased.
- He took care of the mistakes that I made along the way.
- That’s what kept my mind at peace.
- I was never stressed about doing everything perfect!
- Proverbs 3:5 says, “In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].”
- I knew that if I was about His business then He would protect and provide for me along the way.
- God can create ministry opportunities out of my mess!
- God sent angelic helpers if I needed it!
- It’s funny, each time I forgot something or messed up, it gave me a chance to share our mission with those that I talked to.
- Always look for an opportunity to share the message of Jesus and you will stay in Perfect peace.
- Have a great weekend!
