DEVO. 05.29.24
“And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”” (Romans 10:15 NLT)
- This week I have been amongst beautiful feet!
- These men and women are finding a way to get the message of the gospel into the hands of people who do not have it in their own language.
- That’s the challenge. There are many languages here.
- It doesn’t do any good if I put an English Bible in the hands of someone who can’t speak English.
- I might as well give them a book of blank pages.
- So when we go to these churches we usually have 3-4 different Bibles in those languages which have been requested.
- This is so important!
- We are carriers of good news that they can understand.
- It says,”How will anyone go and tell them without being sent?
- It’s very important to be sent, but more importantly is being sent with the right message.
- Good news is only good if you can understand it.
- Otherwise, it’s frustrating.
- Imagine traveling a far distance, on foot, to get your hands on a Bible, only to discover that you don’t understand what is written.
- When you see the pictures of these churches that are full of people, it is because we are partnering with local pastors who have told us the language that they need their Bibles written in.
- They request, we fill the order and then we deliver what they need.
- Many parts of the body of Christ all working together with one heart and one vision.
- The great thing is that we can all have beautiful feet!
- Just share the gospel in your neighborhood, your school, your workplace.
- Communicate it in a way that the people around you understand.
- Take the message of Jesus Christ, which is in your heart and put on your lips.
- Let the Spirit of Christ, lead you and guide you!
- Pray that your eyes would be open to those spiritually hungry around you and feed them.
- God bless you as your feet carry the Good News!
- Have a great Wednesday!
