DEVO. 04.28.23
“And they did not thirst When He led them through the deserts; He caused the waters to flow from the rock for them; He also split the rock, and the waters gushed out.”
Isaiah 48:21 NKJV
- Have you gone through a dry or difficult time?
- Have you faced struggles?
- Well even in a dry time the Lord can pour out His Spirit and bring refreshing!
- He is a Supernatural, Miracle Working God.
- Everyone knows that water flowing from a rock is impossible.
- Water flows from streams, lakes and rivers but not from rocks.
- But when you are going through a dry time, you have an option in front of you.
- You can either complain about the dryness or you can rejoice that you serve a miracle working God.
- He not only supplies water but he can also cause it to gush out!
- Gushing means it’s an overwhelming supply!
- Water can represent the Holy Spirit, so this would represent a total outpouring of the Holy Spirit!
- God did not deliver the children of Israel out of bondage to the Egyptians just for them to die of thirst in the desert.
- God set them free so that they would learn to learn to walk in that freedom.
- They needed to learn to completely trust and rely on God’s provision.
- And it’s no different for you.
- God brought you out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of light.
- He did this so that you would never have to walk in darkness and that every day would be a new day in His light.
- You never have to talk about the “past light” but, you can testify about the new light that He brings into your life, each and every day!
- Lamentations 3:23, speaks about the mercies of the Lord and says that, “They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”
- New every morning, not old!
- Today expect the new mercies of the Lord and walk in them!
- Have a great Weekend!
