DEVO. 04.26.24
“Mighty hero, the LORD is with you!” (Judges 6:12 NLT)
- In this scripture, the Lord comes and speaks into Gideon's life something that Gideon does not see in himself.
- The Israelites were hiding in caves, their land had been destroyed and everything they had was taken from them by their enemy, the Midianites.
- They were oppressed, beaten down and had a defeated mindset.
- They had lost hope.
- Gideon, himself is hiding, threshing wheat in a place to keep it hidden from the enemy.
- Then God speaks to him and calls him a Mighty Hero!
- God helps Gideon to see what He sees because fear had blinded Gideon's eyes to who he really was.
- He needed to know who he was, in order to fulfill the assignment God had set for him to do.
- God was preparing him inwardly for something much bigger than he could imagine.
- God was about to strip down Gideon's army of 30,000 to a mere 300.
- And with that small army of 300 go on and defeat the huge Midianite army of several hundred thousand.
- God was about to decrease the size of his army in order to increase the faith of all of Israel.
- God had to show them that He was still in control.
- They needed to know that He was still with them.
- They needed to know that all things are possible with God on their side.
- How about you?
- What do your circumstances look like this morning?
- Are your problems greater than your solutions and resources?
- Have you developed a defeated mindset?
- Have you begun to expect the worst?
- Have you lost faith because of your own failure or past mistakes?
- This morning, the Lord wants to replace fear by speaking Faith into your life.
- You need to know that you can do everything through Christ, who gives you strength. (Philippians 4:13)
- This morning, with God's power - nothing is impossible!
- Ask God to help you to see what he sees.
- Stop saying "I can't" and begin saying "He Can!" and because "He can, then I can".
- Greater things have yet to be seen in your life as your begin to see what He sees!
- Gideon went on to overcome his fear and totally defeat the enemy.
- So will you, when you believe in God and look at your circumstances through His view of you.
- You have to believe that you have unlimited potential, this morning!
- You are a Mighty Hero!
- 1 John 4:4 says, "You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world."
- Live as if you already have victory over your circumstances, because you do.
- You don't have to live in fear or defeat because Luke 10: 19-20 says, "No one can put a hand on you. All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God's authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that's the agenda for rejoicing."
- Rejoice, today, because The LORD is with you...He's got your back!
- Get your Hope back, today!
- Have a great Weekend!
