DEVO 04.13.23

DEVO. 04.13.23

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].” JOHN‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭AMP‬‬

- Do you want to bear fruit?

- Another way of asking that is, “do you want to be productive spiritually?”

- If you are a follower of Christ, the answer must be “Yes”

- One of the signs of life is bearing fruit!

- Every Disciple needs to be making disciples!

- There are two types of branches in John 15.

- Those that bear fruit and those that are fruitless.

- All branches that bear fruit will require pruning.

- Although I don’t know of many people that look forward to the pruning process; it is necessary!

- There is purpose in pruning.

- The purpose is the end result...productivity!

- Pruning is the removal of anything that stops or hinders the life-flow of Christ in you.

- Things like bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, anger, pride, greed, and lust are just a few but they’ve got to go!

- You will never grow and reproduce if you let sin remain in your life.

- You’ve got to get rid of it!

- God has designed you to grow and He has a plan for your growth.

- The Word of God is the perfect tool!

- If you want to grow, you’ve got to take the Word of God and be willing to examine your life according to it.

- Let the Holy Spirit speak to you through the Word.

- Hebrews 4:12 says, “The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”

- As you remain open to the voice of the Holy Spirit, He will reveal what needs to go!

- He will show you what has to be removed in order for you to grow!

- Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

- If you want To be productive then you have to listen to His voice in All of your ways!

- And keep in mind, pruning is not a one time thing.

- Each season requires new pruning for you to be used for His fullest potential in that season!

- So today, take a look!

- Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything in you that Has been hindering your growth.

- Now, be willing to remove it!

- Have a great Thursday!
