DEVO. 04.08.24
”The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.“
(Psalms 19:1 NKJV)
- Today is a day where everyone in America will be looking up to get a view of the eclipse.
- The heavens are literally speaking!
- They are telling a story!
- The real story is about the glory of God!
- There is a lot being said about this eclipse, but don’t get so caught up in our story that you miss out on the story of the glory of God.
- Here we sit with an amazing view, with the moon, some 250,000 miles away and the sun 94.5 million miles away (I know these numbers differ)
- But it should give us a sense of awe of God.
- Genesis 1:1 tells us; ”In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
- God created it!
- He placed it all up there and here we sit, most of the time missing the greatness of God and the glory of God.
- Most people are more consumed with a little device in our hand that can’t even be compared or be held in the same conversation as our God.
- Today, as you look up, consider His greatness.
- Let the Heavens speak!
- Let the heavens declare His glory and then, chime in!
- Tell the Lord how awesome He is!
- Worship Him and bless His name without expecting anything in return.
- Thank Him for His creation!
- Don’t let a device steal His glory and don’t let your voice be silent.
- Today is a day to shout out loud the Greatness, love and respect for our God.
- And our awesome God created you in His image!
- That’s how much He loves you!
- Thank Him, revere Him, and declare His glory!
