DEVO. 03.17.23

“The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” ‭‭(1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- You have a reward waiting for you!

- Do you love when you hear that?

- Rewards are awesome!

- And Peter, here clearly says that there is a reward for all those who trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life!

- The reward is “the salvation of your soul”

- Jesus asks the question, “And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭36‬-‭37‬)

- Obviously, Nothing is more valuable than your soul!

- We are talking about eternity!

- Where do you want to spend eternity?

- How do you prepare for eternity?

- You prepare, today!

- Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:15-16, “But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.”

- ‭‭You can’t be Holy on your own.

- It has to be a work of His Grace!

- But you can begin by abiding in Jesus, and letting His Word abide in you!

- He says, “For without Me you can do nothing.” (John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬ )

- You can only live a set apart, Holy life, with Him and through Him!

- He will give you the ability by His Spirit who lives within you!

- You will be tested and you will go through difficulties but keep your eyes on Jesus, regardless of the opposition, and you will be rewarded!

- Begin preparing and living for your reward, today!

- It will be worth it!
