“So that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

(2 Timothy 3:17 )

- How would you like to be totally equipped for every challenge that you are going to face this week?

- That means, if you are in school, you are completely prepared for every test that comes across your desk.

- If you are at work, you are completely supplied with all the resources that you will need for every assignment that job has for you.

- At home, you are completely ready for every challenge that your kids throw at you.

- In your relationships, completely and emotionally balanced for every relational challenge that comes your way.

- Ready…Prepared…Equipped! Is that you?

- In 2 Timothy 3:16, the apostle Paul tells Timothy how to be fully prepared.

- In the previous verse he says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” Then he says, “so that…”

- If you want to be totally ready, prepared and equipped then you’ve got to get in God’s Word.

- It’s that simple…but many times we make it difficult.

- His Word has to be a priority!

- It is vital for your survival as a Christian.

- Not something that you read like a textbook, but something that you read as God’s love letter to you.

- Something that you can’t live without.

- The Bible is God’s inspired Word! It’s as if He is sitting down speaking too you right now.

- If you get into God’s Word, God’s Word will get into you!

- His Word teaches us and corrects us…It keeps us from going the wrong way and experiencing the painful consequences that come along with going he wrong way.

- It not only shows us the “right way” but it helps restore us to obedience when we’ve gone down the “wrong way”.

- God’s Word reveals God’s will and when we know God’s will, we know the way!

- It is literally our moral compass!

- The farther away we get from God’s Word, the more distant we become from both Him, His voice and His way.

- God’s Word reveals His love!

- You discover how much you are valued and loved through His word.

- When you feel lonely condemned and abandoned, God gives us His Word to express His love.

- His Word pulls us into His presence.

- He draws us to Himself with His Word.

- So today, experience His presence fresh and new by getting into His Word.

- Discover true life from His word.

- Aquire the inspiration you need today from His Word.

- Be totally and completely equipped by His word!

- Have a great Thursday!
