DEVO. 02.09.24

”Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭41‬ ‭AMP‬‬)

- Are you actively praying?

- Jesus was in His most trying time before he is betrayed by Judas.

- He knew that the most important thing for Him to do was to pray!

- Prayer was critical.

- Prayer was His time to commune with His Father so that He could have His perspective.

- Prayer made all the difference.

- It meant whether He would pass the test or fail.

- It was intense.

- It was powerful!

- And then He turns to his disciples and they are asleep.

- They couldn’t see what He could see.

- They had a totally different perspective.

- Their perspective of this important moment led them to fall asleep!

- It wasn’t important enough to them!

- So Jesus gives them, this instruction, “Keep actively watching and praying”

- Prayer gives us a kingdom perspective.

- Prayer helps us to see what we otherwise cannot see!

- Prayer gives you the power to be through what’s in front of you.

- So, today, what do you need to see that you have not seen!

- How could prayer change your perspective?

- Jesus says to you, “Keep actively watching and praying that you may not come into temptation.”

- Your prayers have a purpose!

- Your prayers make all the difference!

- Jesus’ prayers didn’t spare Him from the cross but helped Him to see the purpose of the cross.

- There was a greater story taking place than what they could see in the natural realm.

- Today, you have a greater story taking place around you.

- Ask God to help you see from His perspective!

- Keep actively watching and praying!

- It will help you to see what God sees!

- Have a great Weekend!
