DEVO 02.06.24

DEVO. 02.06.24

“One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.” (Luke‬ ‭18:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

- Jesus, when teaching about prayer, makes 2 things clear through his parables.

- First, we are ALWAYS to pray and second is that we are to never give up!

- Always, means morning, noon and night.

- Always means every opportunity that you have, whether you are driving, at the office, school or work, that you take advantage of every opportunity that you get!

- Whether it’s a 5 minute window of time or an hour, we are to always pray.

- There is literally, no bad time to pray!

- It’s a 24/ 7 all access pass for us to come into the presence of the Lord and speak with Him.

- And of course the 2nd point is to Never, ever give up!

- Your prayers are directly linked to your faith.

- In verse 8 Jesus says, “But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?””

- ‭‭In other words, when Jesus returns, will He find you still praying and believing, strong in faith and persevering in prayer?

- Will he find you on your knees?

- Will He find you in the courts of heaven pleading your case before the Righteous Judge?

- Always, means when you haven’t seen the answer you wanted but you are still coming before Him every day!

- Just like the story of the persistent widow that continually comes before the judge in Luke 18:5.

- Here is what the unrighteous judge says, “but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

- ‭‭Does this verse describe your prayer life?

- If not, why not?

- It’s time to wear Him out with your constant request!

- When you pray, it matter! And when you don’t pray, it matters!

- Today reset your mind, your heart and your faith!

- It’s time to pray that thing through!

- Keep praying, keep believing, keep trusting!

- It is always to soon to quit!

- Have a great Tuesday!
