“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24 )
- The story is about a father who brings his son to Jesus who has has an evil spirit tormenting him since childhood. - He brought his son to the disciples but they were unable to cast out the spirit. - When he brings the boy to Jesus, he says, “If You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” (9:22) - Jesus’ response is “all things are possible to him who believes.”(9:23) - Jesus wants to strengthen your belief this morning. - It’s not a matter of what you believe in, it’s who you believe in! - Is your Jesus able to deliver? - Maybe it’s a problem that you have been dealing with for far too long. - Maybe you’ve just given up and said “I guess the healing or the deliverance is not for me.” - Jesus says to you today, “all things are possible” - Regardless of whether it has been one day or one year or ten years. Renew your belief in who Jesus is and what He is capable of. - Let your faith, in Jesus, rise! - He is your Healer! - He is your Savior. - He is your Hope! - Let His name become greater than any sickness or disease. - Speak His name out loud and realize that Philippians 2:10 says that, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.” - His name is more powerful than any other name that you have been dealing with no matter how long you’ve been dealing with it. - Renew you faith in Jesus name, today and in His power. - As you push out the unbelief and pull in a newfound trust and belief in His mighty Name! - Have a great Thursday!
